Upgrading Facilities

New display cabinets to present the military history items with Australian Government DVA Saluting their Service Commemorative Grant 2020.

IT equipment to support database management and preservation funded by Museum & Gallery NSW 2021 Volunteer Small Grant.

Tool upgrades and office equipment to assist volunteers from Australian Government Riverina Volunteer Grant 2021.

Installed climate control across the building and upgraded the lighting to ensure a comfortable environment for visitors NSW Community Building Partnership 2021 Program.

Solar panel installation to minimise operating costs with funds from NSW Community Building Partnership 2022 Program.

New display cabinets to improve storytelling Cootamundra Gundagai Regional Council Community Fund 2022 Strategic Planning development with support Cootamundra Gundagai Regional Council Community Fund 2024.

A current project funded by NSW Stronger Country Community Fund will upgrade the entry and wayfinding to improve visitor experience.

Digitising Our Collection

Our volunteers are currently working to record the collection on a digital database.

​Gundagai District History Group

The Museum is working with the Group to ensure records are maintained on Gundagai’s history in the Gundagai Library collection room.

Exploring First Nations Cultures

A key objective of the Museum is to work with the local Wiradjuri to further develop
the First Nations display.
